What you can expect from therapy at Intuitive Psychology.
It is often easy to find ourselves overwhelmed by our emotions and the unhelpful thought patterns we have adopted in our day to day lives. Or maybe you encounter aspects of your relationships that affect your wellbeing.
Learning to tune into yourself and live with greater authenticity can be a daunting task. Therapy sessions are a safe space to gradually explore your inner world, and to make changes in your life that are right for you. In our therapy sessions I will help you to gradually explore and reflect on your experiences, in a way that is not overwhelming. I bring acceptance, compassion, and curiosity, so that together we can build a better understanding of you, and how you can flourish.
Therapy might also focus on looking at your relationships, especially how you can act in ways that fulfil our personal needs while remaining respectful and loving to others.
Through emotion focused therapy and Somatic Experiencing you will learn to become present with your emotions and also how to use them to guide your choices, in order to live with greater authenticity. You will learn to become attuned with your body and its needs, in order to bring it back to equilibrium. We may also explore your life experiences and how they influence your responses and actions toward yourself and others.
